Survey

We asked ten questions using Survey Monkey for our target audience to answer so we could gain more knowledge of the indie genre. We posted this link onto social network sites such as facebook and twitter. We also posted it onto forums which discussed indie music and were based on the indie genre.Below is the link to the ten questions.
Overall we received 20 responses to our survey. We found that people who listen to indie music are interested in the quality of sound and image from a band. They are drawn to the live element of their music and like the unique appeal in the lyrics. We found the most popular indie band was  the Arctic Monkeys and they're clothes are mainly from topshop/topman. Their clothes are typically jeans and t shirts which fits the stereotype of the indie genre. We also found that people were introduced to indie music through family,friends and radio and internet. Through this survey we have discovered our audiences ideas and thoughts on the indie genre.
