We asked three questions to our target audience so that we could find more in depth and personal answers than in a survey. We asked,
1. What is youre preferable choice on indie band to see live?
2. What's your favourite music video by an indie band/artist?
3. What indie song do you listen to the most?
For the first question people answered that their most preferable indie band to see live would be Arctic Monkeys, The Cribs, Bombay Bicycle Club and Arcade Fire. Our interviewees said their favourite music videos were Kate Nash- Mouthwash, The Libertines- Time for heroes and Coldplay - The Scientist. Lastly we asked their favourite indie song, answers included Mumford and Sons- Little Lion Man, Lily Allen-Alfie, The Strokes- Last Night and Bon Iver- Skinny Love.
'Mouthwash by Kate Nash is my favourite music video as it is versatile
within its genre. It shows aspects of a narrative story as well as showing motifs of emotions. I like it also as it shows her personal style.'

'Time for Heroes by the Libertines is my favourite music video as it reflects the bands attitudes towards the music industry. It also has both live action shots of their performance and natural shots of them as a band which i like. I also love the split screen shots!'

'The music video for The Scientist is my favourite music video as it is evokes emotion within the narrative. The video is very unique and different to a stereotypical style of its genre. It has a slow pace and the shots show this well.'

As an audience, we found the listeners overall enjoyed music which had depth and a background story too it. The general interest appeared to be for indie bands and artists. When we asked why they listened to that certain type of music rather than another, they responded that 'songs which are more relatable are easier to listen too which makes them more enjoyable'.

This has potential but could do with more. You asked people about their faviourite video. Why do they like those videos? What makes it their favourite video? Why do they play those songs more than others? You stated that you did interviews to get more in-depth, detailed information but have not really presented it. Give us the detail.
