Video Idea for 'Don't Look Back Into The Sun'

Performance-
We will use the college studio to shoot our actors performing the song 'Don't Look Back Into The Sun'. The performance will be shot using a mixture of both hand held shots and tripod shots to create the importance of live music in the indie genre. The band will represent this importance and in our final video we will edit the shots so they are short and contrasting with the natural shots taken in the city centre.
Narrative-
In researching a lot of videos from The Libertines we found that the general theme of their music videos was very random in that their was never a set storyline. In our video we will also create this atmosphere to go with our live performance shots in the studio. We will shoot both hand held and again tripod shots of each member in town in various locations which would be stereotypical of their image, for example a pub. There will be shots of each band member waking up in different locations, e.g a train station and a bench in the centre of York. This will reflect the lifestyle of The Libertines and the stigma placed about the way they live.
Location-
Our locations will be in York city centre in various places such as York Station, a pub, the main streets and a bus stop. We will also use the music studio in York College. (See post above for images and reasons why).
Costume-
Our band members will wear a typically indie style of clothing in the music video. (See post above for images and reasons as well as props we will use).
