Hello, my name is Kate.
This year in Media I will be making a music video and researching various genres of music. I will also analyse the key elements of a digipack and how they are made.
Last year for my Media coursework I produced a magazine cover,contents and double page spread for a music magazine on Photoshop. I used a blog to show my progress. I also researched other mainstream music magazines and analysed their connotations. The main differnces between this year and last year is that i will be working in a group and i will be working in a different medium in the media. This year i will be creating a moving motion video as aposed to last year when i used still images to create a magazine.  


Initial Ideas for a music video
I think music videos which have songs that can be turned into a meaningful message or a upbeat funny narrative are the most memorable.  Saying this, I think a song with an indie style would reflect this best, for example Kate Nash or Arctic Monkeys. Initially I thought of black and white filming which is a powerful technique in film , live performances (with an acoustic style) and using natural shots to portray life.
